I work as a toy designer here at laser pegs. After graduating with my B.F.A. in Industrial Design from The University of Kansas, I wanted to venture out of the Midwest and ultimately landed in sunny Florida. My passion for design started in childhood. I was always drawing or building with my own collection of construction toys. Now I get to design the toys too. I often draw inspiration from Japanese pop art, anime, and retro toys and games.

You can usually find me drawing or playing video games when I’m not working. I live in Sarasota with my fiancé, Jeremy, and our dog, Violet. Violet is an obedience school flunky, but hopes to one day learn to roll over on command.

Kenneth Godbolt Bailey

I have been living in the land of Laser Pegs for the past year and a half, building the creatures for the Mythology Kit, the players for the NFL kits, the speed daemons for the Racer kit and everything in between. I was born in Belle Glade Florida where I grew up and found my interest in art. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Fine Art. Since then I have worked for the Orlando sentinel as an online editor, as a teacher in the Orange County school system, and as a recreation leader and youth councilor for the city of Apopka for another four years. In 2004, I moved to Clearwater Florida where I worked as an inventory specialist for Drivetime auto sales for eight years.

C. Lily Ericsson

I am a model builder, manual maker, post it note stealer, package designer, strange idea-er, and Sarasota townie. One of my greatest skills is getting songs stuck in people’s heads, although it is a skill that is unappreciated by my coworkers. Little do they know that I have a secret plan to absorb their many years of experience and nerd building skills to become a master builder myself. I escaped from Sarasota for 6 years to go to art school (MICA) in Baltimore and get a BFA in environmental design, only to be pulled back by the soft sounds the gulf and my dad’s breakfast burritos.

JD Stiebeling

I am a designer and photographer for Laser Pegs. I have a BFA in digital video. I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures and video since I was young and could get my hands on a camera. I’m from Upstate New York originally but moved to Sarasota when I was a teenager. I went to college in Atlanta and lived there for 10 years. I’ve worked as a graphic designer in the Screenprinting and Promotional item field for about 10 years all while being a freelance photographer and videographer. I’ve made videos and tv spots for sports teams, Bands, Entertainment companies, Non 4 Profits Originations, and Documentary’s. I love to build, create, and play with Laser Pegs. You could really call me a big kid. Little known fact: I have a fear of E.T.

Mark ‘zombie’ Worth, the Myth, the Man, the Legend, comes to Laser Pegs® from Sunny Southern California, where he worked as a guitar player, music video editor and mobile satellite television engineer for over 20 years.

At Laser Pegs®, he is extremely detail oriented in making all of our model manuals and proofing all of our product packaging. He is also a master model builder from a young age.

3D Designer / Artist

Jorge

I’m a 3D Generalist specializing in Video Games Art and Virtual Environments. I have a MA in 3D Design and another one in Game Development. Before I opted for becoming an artist I went from being a school teacher to be a traffic controller. I have worked and studied in Scotland, UK for the last 7 years and I’m extremely happy to be here in Florida. (Jorge gets the award for best office accent)

Office Manager

Sharon Cassick-Oliver

I am a 2-year veteran with Laser Pegs Ventures, LLC. As Office Manager I assist the Owner/CEO in day-to-day communications with scheduling and office personnel and the duties thereof. I am the daily greeting/goalie for the traffic coming through the front door and over the telephone, the handler of first impressions and looming problems, director of inquiries, coordinator of meetings within the office, and invoice-er and follow through-er for domestic orders and account receivables. I have watched the team over the years and take pride in the enormous growth and activity that has come from every employee at Laser Pegs.
